We were welcomed by an extremely warm couple who did everything they could to give us satisfaction despite the language barrier. The apartment is spacious, very bright, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We had chosen to have breakfast. The table was nicely prepared, no ingredients were missing, bread, pastries, jam, honey, ham, cheese and even fresh eggs from the hens raised on site! We were delighted with the 2 days spent at the Château de Saugé, we would be happy to have the opportunity to stay there again. A big thank you to Donna and Paul for their kindness!

The minute we drove through the wooden gates we were greeted with smiles and impeccable service. We were given a grand tour by the owners...we were amazed at the history of the Chateau, the renovations being done, and the natural beauty of the grounds. We stayed in the beautifully decorated, Daughters Wing, where we rested well from our long trip. The accommodations were very comfortable and plush! Love, love, love the Vintage Tea Room...decorated in calming blues. Donna, served up a splendid breakfast! I did bring home, homemade Cherry and Apple preserves made from the fruit trees grown on the grounds...delicious! We enjoyed our stay at the Chateau, shopping in the near by shops, and eating at the restaurants. Looking forward to returning soon!
